About the role:
As a Training Manager of the Dealer Training Team, this individual will have strong working knowledge in retail automotive financing and extensive knowledge in the income development processes utilized in dealerships today with the ability to translate that into content and effectively deliver the process.
This role will take the lead to help ensure quality dealer training through course design, delivery and evaluation, training resource materials and learning reinforcement. Support the AVP in all roles and responsibilities including event planning, reporting, and team leadership.
Responsibilities:

- Take the lead in assisting the AVP in all phases of departmental development including training team members, sales and dealer training content and communication
- Take the lead in the training efforts of field team members and ensuring consistent and quality dealership training meetings are delivered through effective and inspirational coaching
- Work closely with RSMs, DRMs and GM Zone personnel to develop collaboration to ensure successful meetings/training in local markets
- Assist in the development and delivery of training with a variety of training methodologies and job aids
- Develop and deliver dealer training to meet business objectives (i e , consumer and commercial lease, non-prime, GM Protection Products-F & I, including offsite workshops, VOD's, TEAM’s Virtual Training meetings as well as on the job dealership consulting and coaching inside the dealerships, national sales rallies, regional meetings and GMCC events (i e auto shows, rally's)
- Interact with other business units and training department personnel to ensure consistency in materials for both internal and external content
- Works to stay current on relative business unit updates and initiatives, both GMF and GMCL relative to field and dealership personnel
- Performs other related duties and handles various projects as needed
Qualifications:
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of dealership and auto finance industry experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of training/facilitation, content development and project management experience preferred
- Minimum 3 year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of the sales and F&I processes and operations within franchise automotive dealerships including menu sell.
- Extensive knowledge in automobile leasing products and the ability to present leasing in all presentation scenarios
- Working knowledge of various dealer management systems and software
- Required to command a presence in a large group of people and hold their interests for long periods of time
