The Opportunity:

For the 2024 summer, we are seeking a Uniform Shop Assistant to work in our Uniform Shop Centre on a part-time contract basis, with additional hours during peak weeks. This position requires someone who is passionate about customer service,and has great attention to detail to provide support to and coordinate activities within The Uniform Shop. 

Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Uniform Shop Assistant Associate ensures high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered and teaming up with the Manager to provide excellent sales service. 

Please note that The Uniform Shop will be closed for the duration of July where no shifts will be scheduled. 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

• Support the Shop Manager in daily operations of the store

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system including sales, returns and inventory data

• Develop good relationships with Students, Parents, Alumnae and Staff through optimal customer service

• Maintenance of Shopify site to update inventory items available for purchase

• Content creation for social media and newsletters

• Manager with merchandise deliveries including confirming accuracy of packing slips 

• Label or price merchandise

• Stock shelves and displays with merchandise while ensuring the Shop is properly maintained

• Address customer inquiries and concerns and answer the phone

• Scheduling appointments with parents in the Shop

• Assist with student uniform fittings 

• Collaborate with Manager to create and implement seasonal and sales displays in the Shop

• Maintain Health & Safety protocols

• Filling online orders and prepare for shipping including taking orders to post office

• Schedule uniform order pickup

• Monitor inventory and assist with inventory counts as required and at year end

Candidate Profile

As the ideal candidate you have an acute sense of customer service and have at least 1 to 3 years of retail experience. We are looking for the candidate to be confident and comfortable engaging students and parents to deliver an elevated experience. You will be motivated to achieve great results and will also initiate completion of tasks or activities without necessary supervision. 

If you are a team player, are self motivated, have great organizational and communication skills this would be a great role for you.

Target Salary: $25.00 hourly
