Position Summary

Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor or department Lead Hand, Warehouse B Associate is responsible for handling inbound and outbound freight safely and accurately. Use of a variety of powered Material handling Equipment is required, as a use of and RF Gun.

• Working Days – Mon – Fri
• Two Shifts –Day Shift (8:00 am – 4:30 pm) and Evening Shift (3:00 pm to 11:30 pm)
• Location – Winnipeg, MB

What you will do

• Maintaining quality and accuracy while receiving inbound stock items, and noting any deficiencies;
• Accurate order picking;
• Completing required documentation neatly and accurately;
• Manual labor (lifting up to 50lbs); which includes de-stuffing of floor loaded containers, sortation of boxes and proper pallet building (stacking boxes on pallets) techniques
• Safe and skilled operation of material handling equipment
• Performing maintenance checks of material handling equipment;
• Housekeeping and other general warehouse duties as assigned
• Maintain cleanliness in the facility by cleaning up assigned area daily at end of shift
• Follow all established Distribution Centre procedures as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• High School (Grade 12) Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• A working knowledge of warehouse operations
• Maintain a valid license for pallet truck
• An ability to operate hand jacks and electric pallet jacks in a safe and responsible manner
• An awareness of proper lifting techniques and safe materials handling procedures
• Must be physically fit and capable of performing all duties of the position
• TDG and WHMIS training;
• Previous experience with RF technology
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage and follow verbal instructions)
• Must be legally entitled to in work in Canada
• Must currently live in Winnipeg
