Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking applications for Skilled Laborers/Warehouse Attendant. CLAC Project with benefits package and starting base rate of $29.09 based on 40-hour work week. Project duration is 12 months plus with a position open now. Approximately 40% of site duties will be warehousing and tracking of deliverables to site.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lifting, carrying, material
- Spotting equipment
- Assisting with carpenters with various tasks
- Past experience with painting and drywall is an asset.
- Commercial renovation experience an asset.
- Following safe work and quality policies and procedures
- Take instructions from immediate Supervisor to complete tasks as outlined daily
The successful candidate must possess the following skills/attributes:
- Minimum 2 years of industrial laborer experience
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience receiving and cataloging material deliveries
- Basic use of existing Word/Excel documents for material tracking
- Email address and laptop provided for use in heated warehouse structure.
- Be able to lift, carry and handle up to 50 lbs.
- Experience working on an industrial construction site
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
- Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
- Able to work with their hands and safely operate small power tools
Must have the following:
- Valid Driver's License (not GDL)
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
All candidates must be able to produce a negative result on a drug & alcohol test.
