We are currently seeking an organized, passionate individual looking to start or continue their career and fill the permanent, full-time position of Warehouse Labourer, based in Calgary, Alberta.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Labourer is responsible for completing activities associated with the day-to-day operation of the company shop and warehouse. Tasks can change daily, and the role will primarily support the Warehouse & Fleet Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Stock, pick, and prepare orders for shipping.
- Ensure proper rotation of time sensitive inventory.
Shipping and Receiving
- Prepare paperwork, package, and when necessary, load shipments from In-Line Pigging Solutions.
- Receive, including unloading when necessary, and verify shipments to In-Line Pigging Solutions.
- Deliver and pick-up parcels to/from shipping depots if required.
- Deliver and pick-up supplies and other items as needed.
Fleet
- Inspect vehicles upon return from the field.
- Clean, refuel, and resupply vehicles as necessary.
- Shuttle vehicles to/from repair facilities.
Equipment
- Apex box management – Prepare gear for jobs, maintain boxes and control inventory of boxes and accessories.
- Clean, check and restock equipment upon return from jobs.
- Clean, rebuild and restock pigs upon return from jobs.
- Arrange equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Arrange for, and return, rental equipment as required.
Facilities
- Maintain shop and storage areas in a clean, organized and safe condition.
- Empty all shop garbage and recycle bins weekly, or more often as required.
- Ensure the yard is clean.
- Remove snow from parking areas when necessary.
- General maintenance and upkeep activities as required or requested.
Position Requirements
- This position requires a person who is energetic, positive, organized and a self- starter capable of managing their time efficiently with both direct and minimal direction.
- Clean class 5 Alberta Driver’s License (non-GDL) and Drivers Abstract is required.
- Forklift experience or certification is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with towing and backing small trailers is an asset.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools is an asset.
- Familiarity with ATV’s is an asset.
- Professionalism while dealing with suppliers and company contacts.
- Moderate computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
Working Conditions
The work associated with this position will be completed primarily in a shop/warehouse environment; with occasional local driving. The working hours for the position will be 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
