· Directing the logistics department and staff members to ensure the department operates in a
· smooth, efficient manner.
· Creating and managing the department budget and company’s supply chain strategy.
· Maintaining and managing inventory by logging in all transfers and logging out all shipments
· Developing, analyzing, reviewing, and implementing administrative department systems and
controls.
· Creating, reviewing, and reporting department data and using this information to solve
potential problems or strengthen performance.
· Establishing and enforcing department regulations, guidelines, and timelines.
· Training, Handling or monitoring staff as they perform basic office tasks.
· Ensuring that information and records are organized and stored in a proper manner to BRC
standards.
· Ensuring that the office systems, controls, policies, procedures, and workspaces are in
· compliance with current regulations or legislation.
· Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues
· Evaluate and report on KPIs
· Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
· Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts)
· Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role
- Proficiency in operating order pickers, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment
- Strong knowledge of order picking, loading/unloading procedures, and warehouse operations
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues with warehouse equipment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team
