Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by efficiently initiating, coordinating, procedures and personnel
• Implement a warehouse inventory management program.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting cycle counts.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Maintaining PSR for racking and addressing nonconformances on priority.
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
• Ensure all production orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules.
• Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties.
• Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
• Consider full implications of freight turnover, size, weight, and other factors when allocating warehouse space.
• Assess the need for, and arrange the purchase of, moving equipment like trailers, forklifts, crash pads, dollies, and so on.
• Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; adjust where necessary.
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
• Other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Supervision, developing budgets, safety management, developing standards, managing processes, inventory control, reporting skills, analyzing information, equipment maintenance, experience with a warehouse management system.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and employment regulations, policies, practicesand procedures.
• Knowledge of food industry principles such as HACCP system.
• Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
• Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
• Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
• Leadership skills and ability manage staff
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skill

Education: Post-secondary degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.
