What is the opportunity?
The Business Analyst will work with various Financial Crimes teams and Business groups facilitating information and requirement gathering sessions to support projects and initiatives. Project and initiative objectives will include implementation of enhancements for AML systems and AML processes/procedures.
What will you do?
  • As a Business Analyst your responsibility will be to:
  • Support initiatives and projects by working with Stakeholders to develop and document requirements
  • Support initiatives and projects by working with Stakeholders to complete data analysis
  • Assist Senior Business Analyst /Senior Project Manager with the documentation and gathering information and requirements for large AML initiatives.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
  • Research, collect, and document information and requirements to support initiatives and projects
  • Assist with data analysis; review, analyze and assess data to support data related initiatives
  • Analyst will co-lead meetings with stakeholders to discuss the progress of projects and follow up on action items
  • Solicit input from the Business Stakeholders by facilitating requirement gathering sessions and/or working group sessions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners and internal/external team members
  • Identify risks and issues, and inform project team using applicable project communication channels and documents
  • Ability to quickly learn organizational structure, business strategies, and processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written, oral, and listening communication skills
  • Experience/knowledge with desktop applications/suites such as MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and to work successfully under pressure
  • Team player who is able to take direction, but also able to work independently

Nice-to-have:
  • Background/experience or understanding of the finance sector

Please note: This posting is for a 4-months Summer 2024 Student placement with a start date of May 2024, and end date of August 2024. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:
  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2024 ; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2024), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
