We are looking for a Housing Resource Worker. The primary role of this position is community coordination and interagency collaboration for the provision of services related to homelessness. This includes direct client-service of advocacy and support to reduce homelessness and the risk of homelessness.

- Effective communication skills both with direct persons served and with community colleagues
- Physical and mental abilities to carry out the duties of this position including the ability to follow the Centre codes of conduct, deal with stressful situations, and work in a variety of workplace environments
- Experience and ability to write plans, manage cases, and plan cases and discharges from public services.
- Provide information to the public on budgeting, credit counselling, and debt consolidation.
- Provide community education.
- Refer to legal advice.
- Liaoning and intervening to prevent eviction and preserve tenancy.
- Providing assistance with moving costs, short-term financial assistance and emergency assistance.
- Liaison between community services to support clients with basic needs, financial support programs, and clinical/treatment services.
Relevant post-secondary degree or diploma in the social services field or a minimum of 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of both
Additional Requirements:
- Current Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle for work use, preferred
- Available Monday to Friday, and be able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Experience working with children is preferred but not required
