This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to perform a broad range of duties assisting in the Accounts Payable functions, including invoice entry, reconciliations and Accounts Payable reporting. The successful candidate must possess strong work ethics, perform tasks accurately, and be achievement oriented. Deployment to other duties may be required from time to time.
Required Skill, Qualifications, and Abilities
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Three (3) years related municipal office experience, including an ability to undertake basic accounting functions.
- Possession and maintenance of a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License; a satisfactory current driver's abstract will be required.
- Demonstrable keyboard skills with a minimum speed of 50 wpm.
- Demonstrable written and oral communication skills, public relations skills, and practical problem solving ability.
- Demonstrable ability to work within a VADIM and Windows environment, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, filing and recordkeeping.
- Demonstrable ability to complete multiple tasks in a demanding multi-faceted environment.
- Independence of judgment, and a capability of working with minimal supervision.
