The successful Internship- Accounting will support the Accounting/Finance team with various project s and month end close responsibilities. Receive job specific training and work evaluation will be conducted. This will provide support for skills development, career related training and access to learning material.
You will use your expertise to:
(You will be responsible for performing such duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you from time to time by your Manager.)
- Assist with gathering back-up support and preparing of Journal Entries.
- Assist in Matching, batching, coding and entering, verifying invoices using QuickBooks
- Assist with Posting invoices using project specific cost code
- Create and update process flow documentations.
- Enter data into spreadsheets, organize important files and learn from the advice and expertise of the Senior Accountants around them.
- Assisting with recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
- Assist preparing invoices, and other documents..
- Assist with Entering, posting, and reconciling batches
We would like to review your application if you have the following minimum qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in an Accounting program at a Canadian Post-Secondary Institution.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of finance and accounting
- Excellent written and oral communication Skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Completion of core level accounting courses.
- A self-starter with a strong desire to learn -Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks is valued.
- Experience processing accounts payable will be preferred.

The base hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on the business needs.
