An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at Calgary Corporate Office beginning May 2024 for an approximate 8-month term. This temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position is open to current students who will return to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.
What you will do:
- Report and track on monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines
- Assist with the completion of balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
- Assist in the documentation of desktop procedures for current accounting processes
- Assist with creating refresher training slides on existing policies and procedures for rollout to the sites (particularly for new COE team members)
- Liaise with IT (data gathering, etc) to progress automation projects
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
What you will bring:
- Currently enrolled in a 4 year Accounting degree (preference to students who have completed their 3rd year) or equivalent related program
