An exciting internship opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Calgary, AB locationbeginning May 2024 for an approximate 8-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.
What you will do:
- Learn, research, conceptualize, and implement the month-end calendar and task list for FBS Period End Close in the Task Management module in Blackline
- Participate in monthly balance sheet account reconciliation reviews including analysis and review of aged items and preparation of associated journal entries for reconciling items requiring adjustment in the ERPs
- Create associated process and procedural documentation where applicable
- Support other ongoing initiatives and special projects
What you will bring:
- 4th-year student enrolled in an Accounting program at a Post Secondary Institution
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including strong knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
- High attention to detail is critical
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a multi-task, deadline orientated, team environment
