Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning, the Accounting Student is responsible to complete accounting project work as assigned, including the following:
Assist with system input including journal entries and accounts payable vouchers.
Assist with account reconciliations, spreadsheet development and spreadsheet maintenance.
Responsible for scanning/filing
Other duties as assigned.
Hours of operation are 8:30am - 4:30pm / Monday - Friday.
Qualifications, Competencies
MUST BE ENROLLED IN AND RETURNING TO FULL-TIME POST SECONDARY STUDIES IN FALL OF 2024 - Verification will be required
Preference given to university or college students currently studying accounting/business or a related program
Must demonstrate corporate competencies: Customer Focus, Results Orientation, Integrity, and Teamwork.
Skills, Abilities, Work Demands
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Working knowledge of financial management systems.
MS Excel and Word proficiency at the intermediate level.
A satisfactory criminal record check is required at candidate's own expense.
