Summary
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for the Winery’s general bookkeeping requirements, working in conjunction with the Head Office. This position involves Accounts Payable, cash controls, accounts receivable, reconciliations, project cost tracking, and budgetary controls.

Job Duties
- Accounts Payable coordination with external suppliers and coordination for payment with Head Office
- Preparing POs
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and gather proper approvals and assign GL coding
- Keying of A/P invoices into accounting system or upload files, submitting for payment
- Processing payments of approved suppliers with credit cards
- Reconciling supplier and credit card statements
- Assisting with inquiries regarding payment status
- Oversee internal system of handling cash, including the daily cash counts and bank deposits; perform daily reconciliation of cash
- Performing daily sales reconciliations
- Prepare invoices and follow up on outstanding A/R for outside sales on account
- Reconcile customer accounts
- Performs project and cost tracking for construction-related projects
- Work with head office in preparation of month-end working papers and spreadsheets, and assist with preparation for any audits
- Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all financial and bookkeeping activities
- Maintain up-to-date, complete and systematic filing system to support bookkeeping and financial records
- Supports the Department Managers in providing bookkeeping needs and analysis of financial information as required
- Participates in the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts in coordination with Department Managers and Head Office
- Filing and other accounting and administrative tasks as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field or CPA designation is considered an asset
- 3-5 years of experience of accounting practices in a high volume environment
- Excellent computer skills required
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- General understanding of computerized accounting systems
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, Quick-books and Word, Google programs
- Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines
- Assertive, comfortable communicating with various types of individuals
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work both in a team environment as well as independently
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments and key business partners
- Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
