Accounts Receivable Specialist

Position Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist role is a vital part of the GRM delivery model. You will fully understand our Mission, Principles, and Core Values and align yourself with those as you interact within our organization and all aspects of the role.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be primarily responsible for performing all aspects of the Accounts Receivable function for the company related to billing of customers from review of prime contract through to collection and deposit of payment. Additionally, this role will be a key support person, assisting the Accounting Manager, Administrative Services Manager, and Regional Managers with reporting and various tasks related to the AR function.

Job Responsibilities

• Reviews client contracts for financial accuracy and profitability
• Generates required billing activities in accounting software
• Performs monthly billings in conjunction with Regional Managers for a defined customer list, including national and local accounts
• Provides monthly AR Aging analysis to management and completes follow-up on outstanding amounts
• Performs monthly bank reconciliation on designated accounts
• Performs daily bank deposit postings as required
• Assists the Accounting Manager and other team members with miscellaneous other tasks required and special projects

Qualifications:

• Experience using accounting software – SAGE 300 (formerly ACCPAC) experience an asset
• High-level Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to show initiative with an attention to detail
• Confidentiality
• Minimum five years of Accounts Receivable experience

Working conditions
General Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, 8 am to 4:30 pm.

$52,000 - $62,000 per annum
