WMC is currently looking for an Administrator / Coordinator position to support our growing Occupational Health Team in our Hamilton head office location.
Administrator Occupational Health –Position Description
- Facilitation (booking, scheduling, follow-up) of various types of medical assessments.
- Service customer requests in accordance with WMC service expectations (answer phones, scheduling (& completing) appointments, manage patient charts and patient documentation, filing and purging charts)
- Your main duties will include all administrative functions, making appointments, patient reception, form completion, filing and answering phones
- Maintain Medical Operations Software: Ensure WMC ‘s Recall program, administration and WMC staff utilizing software properly.
- Ensure proper documentation (i.e. patient information and forms are accurate in patient chart) and when necessary liaising with medical laboratories and/or Physician offices for appropriate patient documentation
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and assist with arranging complex appointments
- Manage patient results (lab, x-ray, pulling off all x-ray reports from Oscar)
- All medical testing and examination is reviewed and ready for sign-off or put in pending if appropriate
- Supplies and Drugs in stock monthly
- Sound knowledge of medical terminology
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education and a minimum 3 years of previous experience in an administrative role (healthcare preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with superior assessment and problem solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Superior time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail is required
- Good communication skills - English (both verbal and written)
- Candidates that possess strong French language skills are preferred
- Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
