CRC (Christian Reformed Church) Extension Fund is a small family-run, faith-based mortgage investment and financing non-profit organization located in Etobicoke. We're a Protestant denomination, but work closely with investors and clients across many denominations. The team consists only of 4 people, but our fund holds over $100M in assets under management and supplies mortgages, lines of credit, and loans to churches, universities, and non-profits all over the country.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to work directly with our owners. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong multitasking abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization.
Duties:
- Meet and maintain direct, regular communication with our investors
- Provide administrative support to executives, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements
- Create or update financial records on Excel or Google Sheets
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations
- Coordinate and organize meetings and events
- Maintain confidential files and records
- Conduct research and compile data as requested
- Manage email correspondence and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in faith-based organizations
- Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role
- Previous experience in a financial role (bookkeeping, accounting, consulting, etc)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with financial banking systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of office procedures and phone systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in administrative or clerical work is preferred
