FULL TIME (37.5hrs/week) 18 month contract - Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

Acclaim Health announces the availability of one (1) Temporary Full Time Administrative Assistant position (equivalent to 37.5 hours per week), in the Health Services department for a period of eighteen (18 months). The Individual will work Monday to Friday from 8:00am – 4:00pm. This position is based in the Speers Road office.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES:

· Provide’s confidential administrative support to the Director, Manager, Supervisors and staff within the Health Services.

· Provides administrative assistance for the Nursing and Homemaking Programs.

· Assists in maintaining the department records and forms management system.

· Provides accounting department with data for private client billings and purchase orders.

· Assists in preparation of orientation packages for new staff in the department.

· Creates and publishes forms as required such as On-Call weekly schedule.

· Miscellaneous office duties including handling and distribution of mail, filing, ordering supplies, ordering and maintaining uniform inventory, and relief reception duties upon request.

· Travel to Burlington and Milton Clinics and Drop Spots as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· One year Community College, Business Administration or equivalent.

· Minimum 1-2 years office experience and/or customer service experience.

· Good computer skills including MS Office Suite.

· Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and co-ordinate activities.

· Previous experience in community health care setting will definitely be an asset.

· Valid Driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle required.
