Marina Point Village is currently seeking a professional, energetic, highly organized and dedicated Administrative Assistant to join it's Senior Leadership Team in a temporary full-time capacity.
Reports to: Administrator
Qualifications:
· Administrative or Executive Assistant Certificate, Office or Business Administration Diploma or equivalent is an asset.
· Minimum of three years experience in an administrative position is required.
· Experience or background in Hospitality and Sales is an asset.
· Previous employment in a health care facility is an asset.
· Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications is required.
· Initiative, good judgment and leadership abilities.
· Good communication skills; both oral and written.
· Willing to actively pursue personal and professional development.
· Excellent organizational, multitasking and team working skills are required. Must be able to coordinate all aspects of the residence.
· Compassion, patience and an affinity for an older adult population is required.
· Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
· Familiarity with or willing to become familiar with the standards set out in the Retirement Homes Act, 2010 (RHA) and the function of the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA).
· Free of communicable diseases.
- A valid criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening dated within 6 months must be provided as well as a negative 2 Step TB test prior to start.
- Must be able to work weekends.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
· Provide full administrative support for the Administrator and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members.
· Provide initial face-to-face and telephone contact with visitors. Provide direction to visitors and callers and/or notify the appropriate people as required.
· Provide personal and telephone contact with residents/tenants. Attend to the needs of the residents/tenants and/or notify the appropriate people as required.
· Complete administrative resident and staff documents as directed.
· Complete resident orientation and interviews as directed.
· When needed assist in the dining room by serving beverages and tending to resident requests.
· Maintain confidentiality of all financial, personnel and resident/tenant data.
· Be knowledgeable of and practice facility’s fire and safety programs.
· Maintain accounting records in the facility as required by Autumnwood.
· Prepare and submit payroll information to Autumnwood for the accurate processing of wages and salaries for all staff.
· When necessary, conduct facility tours for prospective residents/tenants and their families.
· Assist all staff as required.
· Work as a vital, contributing member of the team with all personnel.
· Follow Autumnwood policies and procedures.
· Complete all other duties as assigned.
Salary to commensurate with experience. This is a Non-Unionized position at Marina Point.

Salary: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
