Job Summary
Apply your expertise in program and policy analysis to support exceptional service delivery
The Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship (WLRS) is accountable for integrated water, land and natural resource management and cross-sector legislation, policy, and objective setting for land and marine environments. The Permitting Solutions Branch is developing new approaches to provincial policy, tools and systems to streamline decision-making, permitting and authorizations across the Natural Resource Ministries (NRM).
The Business Reporting Analyst is responsible for providing reporting services to qualify, measure, and predict business processes across government that support operational and strategic priority areas.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, public administration, business administration, statistics, natural resource management or similar field and a minimum of one (1) year of related experience; OR
• Diploma in computer science, public administration, business administration, statistics, natural resource management or similar field and a minimum of three (3) years of required experience; OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related experience must include:
• Experience analyzing and evaluating qualitative and/or quantitative information.
• Experience using databases to review, edit, and extract data.
Preference may be given to candidates with any of the following:
• One or more years' experience working with databases and information.
• Experience writing SQL and using SQL in databases to extract data.
• Experience with business intelligence software tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and/or similar applications.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to five (5) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
