Agricultural Equipment Sales Person

Oneida New Holland is a full line New Holland Dealership looking for a Sales Person in the Haldimand County area to sell and promote our agricultural and Light construction equipment lines.

Position Summary

• Market and sell, Agricultural / Light Construction, new and used whole goods products.
• Create book of business by calling on existing customers assigned to you, potential new customers and / or cold calling customers at there place of business or Farm operation.
• Demostrate operation of new equipment sold to customer, asisst with setup, layout of equipment to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Promote any other goods, or services, that the Company has to offer. Be informed of Company promotions, or special events in all departments.
• Keep abreast of business trends that will affect customer purchases. This may included local meeting, example Soil & Crop / Dairy / Poultry
• Attend required Manufacturer, or in-house training seminars, as well as trade shows.
• Keep current on product knowledge, features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the Company.
• Negotiate pricing, preparing contracts and completing paperwork related to the sale of equipment.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• A competitive, self-starter, who is disciplined and goal orientated.
• Completion of high school
• Comfortable with current technology, Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Excel and Internet explorer. Knowledge of CDK and / or other manufacturer portals would be an asset.
• Excellent communication skills with good listening skills are necessary to determine the needs of our customers.
• Excellent organization and time management skills are required.
• Familiarity with current farming practices / GPS and Precision Agriculture.
• Have good knowledge of Agricultural & Construction Equipment and be able to operate them inorder to perform proper demonstrations.

• Large target market area includes, Haldimand County, Regional Municipality of Niagara with parts of County of Brant and City of Hamilton.
• Multiple brands of instock equipment to sell.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

• Commission pay
