ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Financial Analyst, you will support the Senior Finance Manager in all financial areas regarding forecasting/budgeting, analytics, and reporting for the Canadian finance team! You will excel in establishing effective working relationships with business partners in Canada and the US and will be responsible for presenting findings and recommendations to key partners both in Finance and the Canadian organization!
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Support robust financial processes encompassing budgeting, reforecasts, and month-end close procedures to uphold full-cycle ownership of the Sephora Canada P&L. Ensure continual refinement of forecasts by integrating evolving trends and pertinent insights.
Generate comprehensive analyses and reports tailored to diverse stakeholders, blending financial insights with non-financial perspectives.
Support the monthly close process including preparation of variance reports and analysis with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
Take charge of ad-hoc projects and analyses to inform strategic decision-making and mitigate operational risks effectively.
Collaborate closely with key partners across functions and borders to troubleshoot challenges, optimize financial performance, cultivate innovation, and effectively communicate risks.
Cultivate an in-depth understanding of critical initiatives, business challenges, risks, and avenues for enhancing profitability.
Offer ad hoc support and analytical insights, delivering strategic recommendations to Finance and Sephora leadership for informed decision-making.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization including non-finance personnel.
Showcase robust prioritization skills, growing in dynamic and fast-paced work environments.
Demonstrate success in critical thinking and decision-making, knowing when to seek guidance and collaborate effectively.
Proactively drive innovation and challenge the status quo, embodying a highly motivated and forward-thinking approach.
Possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business, with a strong preference for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of FP&A or financial reporting experience, ideally within Retail or CPG sectors.
Proficient in Excel and Financial Systems, with advanced Excel modeling capabilities and familiarity with financial platforms like SAP and Anaplan.
Acquainted with accounting principles and adept at interpreting financial documents.
