Assistant Site Superintendent, Sbi-Construction Calgary

Strategic is seeking an Assistant Site Superintendent who is client focused and eager to be a part of a talented construction team.
As our Assistant Site Superintendent, you will:

• Coordinate all on-site activities of sub-contractors and suppliers, provide construction decisions, and solve conflicts with sub-contractors and inspectors, and inspect quality of work.
• Schedule and report on all inspections, develop and maintain communication with project building officials and inspectors.
• Identify and present recommendations regarding project risks including safety/loss control and implement and manage company safety program to include inspections, toolbox talks, documentation, and reporting.
• Assist the Site Superintendent in areas of supervision, site management and construction schedules.
• Develop key processes and systems to accomplish speed, quality, and cost reductions across the entire project cycle.
• Plan, organize, direct and control construction projects in collaboration with the Property Management department from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budgets.
• Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules.
• Direct the purchase of building materials.

Experience/Skills

• Technical Degree in General Carpentry.
• Five (5) years of experience in wood-frame construction.
• Education and certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) measures
• Intermediate to advanced skill with Outlook, MS Word, and Excel
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize and set priorities to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Ability to understand and adhere to operating procedures and practices.
• Demonstration of professionalism through appearance and overall conduct
• Openness and willingness to communicate and respond to the needs of the company, its people, projects, and clients in a positive, professional, and supporting manner.
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated customer service focus.
• Results-oriented with a desire to learn and support new developments.
