Candidates must be Smart Serve certified and must have their own transportation as hotel is not located on bus route.

Job Duties:

• Serving the host and guests of a party, all timeline and services must be met or exceeded;
• Serving buffets, sit-down and hors d’Oeuvres events;
• Setting tables with quality china, glass, silver and following details of event order;
• Ensuring high standards by following service standards of department;
• Exceeding customer expectations by anticipating service needs;
• Promoting an excellent work environment by following Standards of Excellence;
• Providing hands-on quality checks of room and individual tables;
• Ensuring a safe work environment by following all work practices;
• Following food safety and handling procedures and compliance regulations as outlined by hotel standards and federal, provincial and local laws;
• Adhere to all hotel safety and security policies and procedures as outlined by hotel standards and federal, provincial and local laws;
• Maintains superior standards of quality, service and cleanliness in the kitchen and service area;
• Consistently maintains a neat, organized and clean workspace and uniform;
• Demonstrates a commitment to provide the best possible experience for guests, ensuring superior personalized service;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred;
• Must hold valid Smart Serve Certification;
• Knowledge of principles, values and processes for providing superior guest service;
• Ability to project a professional, friendly and courteous image to guests;
• Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented;
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
