Barn And Property Manager

Responsibilities:
-· To provide treatment to the horse herd when needed

· Ensures that the buildings and Property are clean, and free of any threats of harm

· Ensure compliance with all barn safety rules, polices and procedures

· Communicates property and herd issue to the Executive Director in a timely manner

· Participates in Staff Meetings

· Prepares and submits purchase orders and quotes to the Executive Director for approval

· Assists with the setting up and dismantle of all special events

· Ensures that the stalls are cleaned daily after use.

· Ensures that all tack and program equipment is in good repair

· Provides basic medical treatment to the herd under the direction of the Equine Manager

· Regularly checks paddocks, fence line for needed repair.

· Upholds organizational standards in a congenial respective manner.

· Participates in awareness activities to promote the programs at Hope Haven

· Ensures that all incidents are reported and protocol is followed

· Ensure all fire extinguishers are inspected monthly

Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Barn Manager or Assistant Barn Manager preferred
- Knowledge of farm machinery operation and maintenance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor as required
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
