Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized new member to join our team. The role is Property Management Assistant, however the duties will also include helping the overall business as it relates to all real estate activities as we grow into the next phase of our business. Candidates do not need to have Property Management experience, but should have an interest in real estate and our overall goal of providing new quality rental units to the residents of Brockville and Prescott. Candidates should also be able to work independently, be open to guidance, be motivated, show initiative, have a flexible schedule, be able to travel and be on site in either Prescott or Brockville. As a Property Management Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the company and assist in ensuring the smooth operations of our properties and the overall business. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in real estate and Property Management. This job can also be well suited to someone that is already working flexible part time hours for another employer.
Duties:
- Support the overall operations of the business (this work is focused in Prescott and Brockville, ON)
- Posting listings for apartments as they come available.
- Show units to potential tenants IN- PERSON and interview them, followed by comprehensive screening of suitable candidates including reference and credit checks.
- Help coordinate website updates when new properties are available.
- Create FB business account to advertise available listings.
- Visit properties in-person when required to assess issues
- Assist with tenant inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant files and records
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and work orders
- Conduct property inspections and document findings
- Assist with lease administration, including preparing lease agreements and renewals
- Perform data entry tasks and maintain accurate records in our Property Management software (e.g., Yardi)
- Assist with rent collection and accounts receivable tasks
- Support the Property Management team with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role is a plus
- Knowledge of Property Management processes and procedures is beneficial
- Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), as well as web site updating and other tech skills including social media
- Excellent phone etiquette and strong customer relationship management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy

Salary: $21.75-$23.50 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 20 per week

- Are you comfortable and are experienced with Social Media? Have you managed someone's social media before?
