Bartender/Server

The Bartender shall mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to customers seated at tables or bar areas throughout the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Takes orders from guests and Servers

· Maintains complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, specials and mixes ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks

· Maintains a complete awareness of cocktail and drink recipes and production methods

· Maintains knowledgeable of different types of alcoholic beverages and wine

· Inspects cleanliness and condition of assigned stations

· Greets guests and takes orders utilizing suggestive selling and up-selling techniques

· Convey a professional, friendly and courteous manner in all interactions with internal and external customers

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

· Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older

· Demonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing, and understand and carry out instructions

· Must successfully complete Smart Serve

· The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work efficiently and effectively manage tasks under pressure.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay
• Tips

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Ottawa, ON K1S 4M7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• serving: 1 year (preferred)
• Bartending: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Smart Serve (required)
