Bilingual Collections Agent

OCM Auto Financing is looking for a Bilingual Collections Agent to join the team. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, career minded individual with collections experience to augment our existing team. The successful candidate will have good organizational skills and be efficient, knowledgeable, accurate and persistent.

This is a fully remote position, and the candidate must have a reliable internet connection.

The Collections Agent will perform to the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities in a professional manner:

• Answer general phone and email inquiries.
• Direct phone and email inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
• Maintain the filing system with both electronic and paper copy documents.
• Prepare loan documents.
• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts.
• Conduct collection calls on past-due payments.
• Update account status records and collection efforts.
• Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status.
• Keep track and follow up on borrower insurance policies.
• Provide other secretarial and administrative support to management and other staff.
• Collaborate and engage with other members of the team.
• Additional administrative duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

• Two-five years of relevant work experience in a collections position.
• Experience with Autopal is considered an asset.
• Good verbal & written communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to be data driven when it comes to decision-making.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
• Bilingual in English/French is essential.
