On July 27, 2023, TC Energy announced the intention to spin off our Liquids Pipelines business and separate into two independent, investment-grade, publicly listed companies - TC Energy and South Bow. Please note that all hires will continue to be formally employed by a TC Energy employing entity until the separation is complete.

The opportunity

We are seeking a detailed oriented and highly motivated individual who will provide trade support to the Crude Oil Marketing team in the form of trade analytics and reporting. You will collaborate with front, middle and back office and must be competent in performing routine and non-routine activities in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

As part of the Analytics team, you will perform the following:

• Provide accurate daily reports for position, credit and risk exposures
• Provide accurate daily P/L forecasting and analysis
• Provide fundamental analysis of supply/demand, pricing and other targeted analytics of the Crude Oil markets to inform trading decisions
• Develop understanding of physical/financial trading as well as scheduling activity to support items listed above
• Create and maintain complex models to compile, organize and visualize large data sets to provide actionable insights and add value to trade strategies
• Must be able to work in a non - regulated environment and meet/respect all compliance and Code of Business ethics requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• University Degree or College Diploma in Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Math/Statistics or other quantitative field
• 3 to 5 years of progressive experience
• Advanced computer and data modeling skills particularly with Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including the ability to interpret and draw meaningful conclusions from information gathered
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills
• Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
• Interest in Crude Oil markets and Trading
• Proven team player and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more programming languages
• Experience using data visualization programs such as Power BI
• Working knowledge of the Crude Oil industry
• Experience within the energy industry
• Experience with risk management reporting (VaR, MtM, Position Reports)
• An equivalent combination of education and direct experience may be considered
