THE ROLE
We are looking for a Business Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the financial decision-making of the organization by auditing, improving, and taking ownership of the Treasury, Compliance and Insurance functions. This will occur through the development and implementation of processes in the ERP and expense management systems, improved cash balance monitoring and insurance program management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Systems
- Optimizing, supporting and managing the ERP and expense management systems including:
- Improving productivity through process and system review and recommending updates as needed
- Reviewing existing systems and processes to recommend upgrades or changes and ensuring appropriate system training is conducted
- Optimizing the ERP (Business Central) and expense management systems (Chrome River) by reviewing and upgrading modules to ensure products are implemented and used to their fullest capabilities such as short to medium-term cash flow forecasting
- Developing and implementing policies, processes and procedures along with KPIs for the team
- Advising and supporting the Group Controller in the use of technology to maintain and enhance the organization's internal control procedures for cash management. Provides technical interface to assist in determining procedures and tests of cash controls. Works closely with the primary bank to interface data into the organization's financial systems
- Treasury
- Assist and support refinancing of corporate debt
- Monitoring cash balances
- Forecasting short-term and mid-term cash flows
- Maintenance of the banking platform
- Compliance
- Ensuring that all statutory compliance are filed in a timely manner across all entities in their respective jurisdictions
- Insurance
- Coverage is active and sufficient for both Corporate and site-level needs, including compliance with contractual requirements for each project and site
- Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related discipline, preferably including coursework in information technology
- 5+ years of accounting experience in industry, with a focus on treasury and cash management and strict adherence to deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills, plus proficiency in other Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with MS Dynamics Navision is preferred
- Confident, energetic, and independent, with a strong ability to ask questions and learn on the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to develop and maintain efficient accounting processes and effective financial controls.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and network stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under tight deadlines
