Bylaw Enforcement Officer
(1 Position – Full Time Permanent)
The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) is now accepting applications for a full time Bylaw Enforcement Officer position based out of its Salmon Arm, BC office.
Under the general direction of the Team Leader, Building and Bylaw Services, the Bylaw Enforcement Officer receives complaints and investigates and seeks resolution to a variety of land use, zoning, restrictive covenant and other CSRD regulatory issues where the CSRD has been made aware of non-compliance with the terms and conditions of those regulations.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent supplemented by completion of courses related to Bylaw Enforcement and three (3) years relevant experience in investigation and/or law enforcement work, preferably in a unionized, local government environment; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience.
- Valid BC Driver’s Licence.
Position Type: Permanent full time
Union: CUPE Local 1908
Salary Range: $2,656.17 to $2,981.21 bi-weekly (January 2023 rates)
Hours of Work: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
(Option to work an additional half hour and participate in flex schedule.)
