JOB OVERVIEW - BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
Under the authority of the Clerk, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring internal and external communications for the municipality.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write articles, social media posts, newsletters, and other communication materials.
- Design visually appealing content for social media (graphics, infographics, etc.).
- Process and handle communication-related requests.
- Ensure the update of news and information collection.
- Check the language quality in French and English for external communications.
- Promote and protect the municipality's image.
- Implement the goals of the communication and public relations policy.
- Regularly update the municipality's website.
- Any other tasks requested by the Municipality.
REQUIREMENTS:
- College or university degree in communication, public relations, journalism, business administration, or a similar field.
- Relevant professional experience, preferably in the municipal, governmental, or communication-related organizations.
- Proficiency in communication tools, including Microsoft Office suite, web content management software, and familiarity with social media tools.
- Ability to manage projects, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Excellent language skills in French and English, including the ability to write professional documents in both languages.
- Ability to develop effective communication strategies.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Salary: $25.36-$32.30 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 37.5 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
