Communications Technician

CE Communications is looking for a low voltage technician with experience installing structured cabling (cat5e, cat6 and racks).

Your role would be to understand and read blue prints, order material, problem solving and to work in a professional manner with other technicians and trades.

Responsibilities:

• Installation of cat5e, cat6 and cat6a cabling for small to medium jobs
• Layout and install racks and cabinets in server rooms
• Supply as built drawings and test results upon completion on job.
• Have the ability to Travel when required

Qualifications:

• Experience pulling, terminating and testing of cat5e, cat6 and cat6a.
• Experience splicing and testing of fiber optic cables would be an asset
• Flexibility to work in many different environments such as Industrial sites and commercial offices.
• Comfortable working and heights
• Experience and/or willingness to learn
• Knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations and guidelines
• Critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Valid driver license

Salary:

• $25.00 to $35.00 *dependent on experience
