Coordinator, Student Services

Athabasca University's Faculty of Science and Technologyis currently recruiting for the position of Coordinator, Student Services.

Please note,this is a temporary full-time [1.0 FTE] position starting March, 2024and ending September, 2024.

The Position:

Reporting directly to the Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, the Coordinator, Student Services oversees both graduate and undergraduate Student Services within the faculty. The Coordinator, Students Services is expected to demonstrate initiative and work independently. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality and discretion. Exceptional management, leadership, organizational and planning skills, and proven ability to direct and supervise staff in a collaborative, co-operative way. This position assists the Dean's Office in providing input and conducting the planning, coordination and implementation of important operations of the faculty within the framework of the educational and research mission of the University.

Qualifications:

• Must have a post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline.
• Must have at least 5 years' experience in a post-secondary environment, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility at the administrative, supervisory, and management level.
• The incumbent must have strong management and leadership skills, excellent organization and planning skills and proven ability to direct and supervise staff in a collaborative, co-operative way.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
