Coordinator, Wedding & Social Events
Under the general supervision of the Manager, Wedding & Social Events, and within established policies, procedures and guidelines, assists Manager, Wedding & Social Events plan, develop and execute sales and marketing strategies for weddings and Social Events market.
Niagara Parks offers an annual salary of $51,640.84 to $61,664.86 per annum for this position plus a comprehensive benefit plan and defined benefit pension plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of post-secondary program preferably in hospitality and tourism sales and/or marketing or the equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Excellent typing skills and proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with working in CRM environment.
- Valid “G” Drivers Licence required.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience working with wedding and social groups.
- Knowledge of sales procedures for booking wedding and Social Events, considered an asset.
- Exemplary sales and customer service skills including communication/interpersonal skills both oral and written.
- Problem solving skills and ability to perform duties with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills are required.
- Proven team player and ability to multi-task in a high-pressure sales and service environment.
- Ability to exercise tact and courtesy in a professional manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represents NPC in a professional manner with primary responsibility of assisting the Manager, Wedding & Social Events with meeting or exceeding annual Wedding and Social Events revenue targets including: assisting with the sales and booking process for wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, bridal showers, brunches, rehearsal dinners, children’s birthday parties.
- Assists the Manager, Wedding & Social Events with coordinating and preparing annual sales and marketing plan for the wedding and social market with prioritized objectives and budgets targets.
- Responds to inquiries as directed to increase revenue.
- Assist Manager, Wedding & Social Events by conducting periodic client site visits.
- Coordinate Wedding Ceremony locations and collect contract and payment.
- Ensures that all bookings are coordinated and serviced to the customer’s complete satisfaction.
- Coordinates tradeshows, sales missions, familiarization tours and participates as needed.
- Coordinates and communicates weddings and group bookings with internal departments.
- Assist Manager, Wedding & Social Events with assessing Wedding & Social Event promotional materials and submits Marketing Creative Briefs.
- Coordinates and generates reports, including conducting revenue reporting.
- Prepare proposals and contracts as requested by Manager, Wedding & Social Events.
- Supports Manager, Wedding & Social Events in the oversight of co-op students.
- Book and coordinate WEGO shuttle transfers.
- Book and coordinate Heritage soldiers.
- Book Falls Illumination at fallsview restaurants.
- Participate and contribute in sales meetings.
- Maintain sales kits and collateral as needed.
- Assist with proofing marketing materials.
- Respects and complies with all policies and procedures.
- Must be willing and able to work variable shifts as required and schedule to fulfill the requirements of the seven-day operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
