POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Customer Service Supervisor, this position is responsible for interacting with customers through telephone, electronically or face to face; to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services. Performance of other related duties as required.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General supervision
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Process orders and change-orders received from customers and Sales Representatives, set-up sales order, payers, and essential data in SAP for initial order.
- Take phone orders in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Perform dispatch duties and serve as back-up Dispatcher as required.
- Provide marketing support for samples, catalogs and information requests. Maintain marketing inventory
- Works with Outside Sales Teams to coordinate customer requests and to help provide superior Customer Service.
- Participate in semi-annual inventory counts.
· All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
· Abide by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· High school education or equivalent required, some college level courses are beneficial.
· Two years Customer Service experience preferred, experience in the concrete block, pavers and/or sack industry are preferred. Marketing skills an asset.
· Must have strong computer skills, especially in Excel, Word and Outlook. SAP experience an asset.
· Strong aptitude for organizing personal tasks and repetitive duties in a dynamic environment.
· Must have strong communication, teamwork, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated commitment to consistently delivering the highest quality Customer Service.
· Working knowledge of office environment with experience using multi-line phone system, personal computer, printer, calculator, copier, and facsimile machine. Some other equipment may be required to perform duties.
· Requires good reading, writing and mathematical skills.

· Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
· Regular attendance is required.

Salary: $22.60 per hour
