Customer Service Representative/Warehouse Associate
Job description
Canadian Auto Equipment is a Calgary-based online and customer-direct distributor of Car Lifts (hoists) and Wheel Equipment.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated person to fill a FLEX position of both warehouse and inside sales (Customer Service). This is a full-time, 8-hour workday, Monday to Friday, onsite position in our Calgary location.
This position is part of both the warehouse and the inside sales team. It will be comprised of performing inside sales activities, order entry duties, dealer support and general customer support.
The inside sales (Customer Service) team responds to customer inquiries as He / She will communicate with customers and prospects according to their preferred method of communication (Email, voice messages or other forms of media communication).
The warehouse duties will consist of picking products, preparing orders and general duties, thus learning about our products and company procedures in a hands-on way and accelerated way. This provides a great transition to the inside sales (Customer Service) team. Forklift experience is a huge asset, but not essential; this will be discussed.
Although this is not a technical service position, the sales associate may, at times be in a position to strengthen our relationship with our customers by helping in communication with technical service support.
The ideal candidate will have a proven sales performance record (in any industry), an outgoing personality, and a willingness and ability to multi-task. The following is a representative list of duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct customers to the product resources on our website (cross-referencing product part numbers from one brand to another).
- Assist in the selection and negotiate the sales closure in a clear and concise manner.
- Complete all sales documentation in a comprehensive and accurate manner.
- Negotiate and facilitate shipping and delivery of products.
- Follow up with orders, customers, and prospects.
- Obtain freight quotes for customer orders.
- Calculate pricing based on costs, freight and other variables.
- Maintain customer database of incoming inquiries and service tickets.
- Miscellaneous administrative duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong computer, internet and listening skills.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Training in business, sales or marketing is highly desirable.
- Extremely strong attention to customer and order details.
- Excellent Customer Service focus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers and co-workers.
- Demonstrated ability to close sales.
- Neat, clean, professional appearance.
- Impressive work ethic.
- Able to hold yourself accountable and achieve goals with limited supervision.
- Able to lift 60+ lbs.
- Forklift training would be an asset but not mandatory.
