Digital Customer Success Manager

Job Summary

Equinix is looking for a technical leader to join our Digital Customer Success team.  As a Digital Customer Success Manager, you will be a key member of our global customer facing team, helping SysAdmins, Site Reliability Engineers, and Network experts drive outcomes using our platform. 

This role requires both basic technical comprehension and communication skills, including the ability to translate business goals to platform outcomes for your customers and a desire to engage and build rapport with stakeholders across a variety of mediums — from email and Slack, to calls or Zoom sessions.  

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of cloud infrastructure as well as a comfort and interest in driving success for customers on technical platforms.  You will be joining a collaborative, global and cross functional organization that includes all aspects of customer engagement: Technical Account Management, Customer Engineering, and Product Led Growth.

Responsibilities

 As a Digital Customer Success Manager you will

  • Work with Equinix Digital Services business customers as their Customer Success Manager, ensuring they are getting the guidance and resources they need to be successful 

  • Help shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of Platform Equinix within organizations

  • Partner with Technical Account Managers (TAMs), Customer Engineers, Marketing, Account Executives, and your knowledge of your customers’ environments to drive successful outcomes for customers and Equinix

  • Focus on driving customer engagement to positively impact customer retention, revenue growth, and advocacy

  • Proactively monitor and identify usage trends in order to uncover opportunities, renewal risks, while supporting greater adoption rates

  • Work both collaboratively and independently within a team setting (we love Slack!) 

  • Champion and advocate for customer requirements within Equinix (be their voice) 

  • Lead or contribute to high-level projects that will improve the customer experience 

  • Become an expert, and thought leader, on our customers and their business and technical ecosystems. 

  • Manage a portfolio of our most strategic and high-potential customers. 

  • Be an expert resource on Equinix Metal

  • Ensure familiarity with all aspects of the Equinix Metal platform

  • Constantly expand your knowledge of common use cases and deployments

  

Qualifications

  • You have excellent communication skills

  • You have an understanding of (and passion for) physical and cloud infrastructure

  • You enjoy helping people succeed and finding solutions to difficult business challenges

  • Prior experience in similar environments in Customer Success, Sales, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Account Manager type roles

  • Understanding of the developer journey, related tools and concepts, and their infrastructure requirements

  • You are familiar with different DevOps tools such as Ansible and Terraform

  • You have exposure with various public and hybrid clouds (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes)  

  • You are a natural leader, helping to educate and develop those around you
