To assist in our current human resource needs, we are seeking to recruit internally or externally one (1) team member who is passionate and committed about making a positive difference in the lives of people with developmental disabilities by providing a safe, caring, and inclusive environment to empower their choices, independences, and achieve life fulfillment, in the position of Direct Support Professional – Facilitator (Full-Time Status)
Reporting to the Location Supervisor at our Petrolia Farm location, the successful candidate must be prepared to support people with varying levels of independence and care needs, including communication, behavioral and/or medical needs.
The Direct Support Professional – Facilitator will also be responsible for the creation and upkeep of all support documentation including the personal development plan, goals, and individual finance documentation.
The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts which include Days, Afternoons, Evenings, Midnights, some weekends and/or Holidays. This position requires that the successful candidate be able to safely conduct physical maneuvers, safe management techniques, and be prepared for work of a demanding physical nature, including but not limited to lifting, bending, and twisting.
Preferred qualifications include the successful completion of a two (2) year community college diploma and/or university degree in a related field, accompanied by work experience in a human services setting.
