Form of workHorizon Recruitment has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director, Warehousing and Distribution who will oversee strategy, development, and design of warehousing, logistics, and customs operations within our large BC Based enterprise client.
The successful candidate will manage operational execution for a large warehouse and supply chain team, ensuring inventory fulfillment, international shipments, and customs compliance for a multi-location operation in the manufacturing space.
The role will collaborate with various departments, including Operations, Procurement, and Quality Control and will lead initiatives for operational improvement, compliance and safety.
The position is based in our clients Vancouver, B.C facility.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement multi location warehousing and logistics strategies.
- Establish policies for safe material management, inventory control, and equipment storage.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Day to day responsibility for largest facility
- Manage staff activities, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and budget responsibilities.
- Oversee and utilize effective inventory control systems for traceability of materials and equipment.
- Build strong relationships with team members and internal clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of management-level warehousing and logistics experience.
- Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering degree preferred.
- Professional certification such as APICS-CPIM, or CIPMM is desirable.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain management best practices, ISO standards, and process improvement methods.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment and international shipping regulations.
- Estimated salary: $155 - 160k base + bonus and benefits.
Remuneration:
The base compensation range for this position is $160,000 - $175,000.
