Dispatch Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting directly to the Mine Operations Superintendent, the Dispatch Coordinator is a pivotal member of the Mine Operations team. This role is instrumental in establishing and upholding superior load and haul practices across mine crews, managing the MS4M system's delay, standby, and down codes, and rolling out standards for process improvements such as operator swaps and shift changes. The Dispatch Coordinator plays a critical role in enhancing operational accountability among supervisors, offering feedback on MS4M and SIC tool usage, and overseeing the mine fleet's management.

MAGINO MINE:

Argonaut Gold is a Canadian-based gold producer with a portfolio of operations in North America. Focused on becoming a low-cost, mid-tier gold producer, the Company’s newest gold mine, Magino is expected to become Argonaut’s largest and lowest cost mine. Commercial production at Magino has been achieved, which is the first step in transforming the Company as it enters a pivotal growth stage. The Company also has three additional operating mines including the Florida Canyon mine in Nevada, USA, where it is pursuing potential for redevelopment and additional growth, La Colorada mine in Sonora, Mexico and San Agustin mine in Durango, Mexico.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Configure and maintain the MS4M Dispatch System, including updates, system data review and correction, and hardware/network maintenance coordination.
• Maintain system and data accuracy throughout the shift.
  • Assign blocks to loading units and associate destinations.
  • Change dump location of HU when destination differs due to material change.
  • Ensure status compliance by operators.
  • Ensure mine map is up to date.
• Serve as the primary liaison for MS4M vendor communication, updates, and support tickets.
• Support production by participating in daily control meetings, using the MS4M system for load and haul fleet productivity, and providing weekly feedback to the Mining Superintendent.
• Contribute to blast gas clearing operations and other duties as required.
• Lead training and coaching for operators and supervisors on the MS4M system, assisting in the upgrade and onboarding of new equipment.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety and operational standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Secondary School Diploma completion.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating mine fleet management systems (e.g., Wenco, Modular, MineStar, Jigsaw, MS4M).
• 5+ years of production mining experience preferred.
• Working proficiency in MS Office and CAD or mine design program
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, WHIMS, and Loss Control Principles.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven safety and housekeeping track record.
• A preference will be given to those with leadership experience within an open-pit mining environment, demonstrating strong teamwork capabilities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• The role is located at the Magino Mine, which is approximately 88 kilometers northeast of Wawa, Ontario, Canada.
• The ideal candidate for the role will work a rotation of 14 days on and 14 off (12-hour days).
• Although you will be assigned a work schedule, this is not a guaranteed schedule of hours and your work hours may vary with the needs of the company.
