As an eCommerce Merchandising Student, we are looking for someone who can quickly learn the day-to-day aspects of the role while bringing a fresh perspective and new ideas to the table. Responsibilities involved in these student roles may include (and are not limited to): assisting in the day-to-day operations of the team, the accurate and timely delivery of scheduled reporting, competitive analysis, post-mortem analysis, and other ad hoc requests supporting the assigned division on CT.ca.
Students will ensure website is updated daily, weekly, monthly to reflect the key products/events to maximize sales, margin and store traffic. You will also help with the regular reporting of financial and site metrics.
We are currently hiring eCommerce Merchandising Students to join the following divisions of CT.ca:
- Seasonal, Gardening & Party City
- Endless Aisle (Online Assortment)
- Assist with supplier and product onboarding for the online assortment program
- Handle day to day operational questions through the online assortment inbox
- Help with the regular reporting of financial and site metrics.
- Build new financial and site reporting tools in order to help identify opportunities.
- Update daily, weekly and monthly reporting related to online assortment metrics
- Track and coordinate vendor and product set ups with cross functional teams (merch, digital, supply chain, etc.)
- Provide support on ad hoc analysis related to program operations and KPI metrics
- Quick learner, Motivated, self-starter with the ability to function in an environment with a high level of ambiguity and change.
- Highly organized and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solver & decision maker
- Analytical mindset and able to use data to drive decisions
- Ability to build and maintain relationships, influence change, collaborate, and persuade cross-functionally at all levels of the organization and with external partners
- Customer focused while managing multiple competing demands from many stakeholders
- Pursuing a post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Management or a relevant discipline
- Ecommerce, drop ship, digital courses or interest an asset
- Google analytics experience an asset
- Working knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables, etc.)
- Comfortable working with data
- Exposure to Marketing or eCommerce principals
- Experience organizing, analyzing, and presenting data
- Highly organized and strong communication skills
