The High Prairie School Division
is inviting applicants for an
EDUCATION ASSISTANT LEAD COACH
High Prairie School Division (HPSD) is excited to announce a pilot program designed to train, provide professional development and coach current and future Educational Assistants (EA) across the division. This requires the creation of four (4) EA Lead Coach Positions. These positions will be based in schools in Wards 1, 2, 3, and 4.
This position is approximately 0.3 FTE of a current EA Role.
Duties of the coach will include:
Liaise with schools and central services to guide and assist program participants (EA's)
Liaise with Edmonton Public EA Coach
Develop a weekly community of practice session for all program participants
Requirements:
One week full-time training and facilitation is required that is away from the Coach's current school
Diploma or certificate in Educational Assistant Studies
Combination of education/experience will be considered
Extensive experience working with students requiring behavioural supports
Experience working with students with complex needs
A positive team player is essential
Prior supervisory experience is an asset
Term:
This will be a temporary appointment until the end of June with a possibility of renewal.
Salary:
An additional $4.00 per hour.
