Electrical Assembler

About: The Electrical Assembler we are looking for is a motivated and energetic individual who works well in a team environment to build a variety of electrical components for underground utility vehicles.

We are the OEM of an expanding exciting line of utility vehicles for underground mining, with over 600 units sold around the world. We have several models available as Battery Electric (BEV), with more on the way.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Follow wiring diagrams and schematics to produce a variety of electrical components
• Competently interpret and update detailed electrical circuit schematics and wiring diagrams
• Install peripheral devices such as, vehicle lighting systems, engine control, AC panels, compressors, motors, and camera systems
• Relay information to update wiring diagrams and maintain such information for future builds
• Troubleshoot control system and peripheral device malfunctions, reworking and repairing found deficiencies as required
• Identify & document improvement opportunities using established processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Electrical proficiency required
• Experience with mobile industrial equipment for the underground mining industry would be a valued asset
• Practice in the application of the principles and practices of electrical systems, as applied to mobile equipment panels, instrumentation, process control and PLC
• Knowledgeable in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics
• Strong electrical technical skill set
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and an aptitude for learning systems quickly
• Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and email
• Using testing to enable an engineering organization to achieve outstanding quality, reliability, and excellence
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic testing equipment and diagnosis (scope, multi- meter, power supplies, etc.)
• Exposure to ERP programs, work order systems, etc.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment as well as independently
• Excellent attention to detail
