JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to manage and support the implementation of energy initiatives across a large portfolio of properties, with a focus on electrical efficiency and participation in the BC Hydro demand side management system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that global energy and sustainability standards are applied throughout owned, leased, and managed properties within the account.
Enhances and updates annual Energy Management and Climate Action Plan (EMCAP) strategy and workplan, and reports on performance.
Responsible for identifying and implementing cost saving strategies and budgeting for utilities.
Create and maintain an accurate and current annual reporting with an inventory of electrical equipment including new building projects, building transfers, and building acquisition and transactions.
Monitors and reports on energy use and spending trends. Develops and presents monthly energy efficiency status and variance reports to client. Create utility data analytics reports and dashboards as required by account team and partners.
Engages account team to build a culture of sustainability, and supports awareness and education efforts on energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and climate adaptation projects.
Lead BC Hydro Energy Wise program deliverables.
Collaborates with the global platform on the implementation and management of energy projects in a timely and accurate fashion.
