Your job duties will include:
· Skillfully identifying plants, soil classification, and conducting vegetative analysis.
· Completing site inspections to support Phase I environmental site assessments and determining vegetation restoration success and control measures.
· Determining reclamation successes by completing detailed site assessments (DSA) in accordance with Alberta Environment’s criteria for cultivated lands, native grasslands, forested lands, or peatlands.
· Completion of field documentation such as job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, etc.
· Understanding and actively participating in GCL’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
· Being in your virtual home office/field, with a ratio of 30/70%, respectively.

· I am motivated by learning, and am flexible and adaptable to change;
· I have a valid driver’s license and am comfortable driving on gravel and in rural areas;
· I have some secondary education / exposure to soils and vegetation identification, with a developing background in environmental science.
· I don't mind physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; lifting; recurring bending or similar activities.
· Experience working on upstream or downstream oil & gas sites would be considered an asset.
