The Opportunity: The Executive Administrator provides executive support to the President in the strategic planning and management of the institution. The Executive Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external matters and deals directly with urgent, high priority or contentious issues, ensuring that the appropriate action is taken, and the appropriate individuals are informed.
The Executive Administrator is a member of the Executive team and takes the lead role in the management of Board of Governors. This position records the official record of the Board meetings for publication and distribution, is the official liaison between the President and the Board and ensures all Board activities are in compliance with applicable legislation.
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the completion of the College's corporate reports, including the strategic plan, strategic mandate agreement and annual business plan in compliance with the Ministry's binding policy directives.
The Executive Administrator oversees corporate projects as directed by the President. This includes participating on project teams, overseeing budgets, preparing funding proposals and reporting.
What you need to be successful:
- four-year degree in Business or related field
- masters degree preferred
- minimum 7 to 10 years related work experience
- demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and independently
- excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with a variety of internal/external contacts at all levels
- working knowledge of a variety of software, including MS Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams
- strong organizational skills, time management and project planning and management skill
- experience public speaking an asset
- demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- knowledge of the Ontario College system
Sault College provides an attractive total compensation package, encompassing competitive wages/salaries, a defined benefit pension plan, group insurance benefits, and a variety of employee perks. This is a full-time Administrative vacancy. Salary range is $94,113 to $117,641 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
