We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Executive Chef to join our dynamic team. Our team works diligently to enhance the guest experience and exceed customer’s expectations at our club. The successful candidate will be someone who can thrive in a fast pace, fun and professional environment. The individual will work closely with the Management team members to learn, grow and look for opportunities to improve our operation. Responsibilities and Duties
The ability to manage several tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Providing management, leadership, training and ongoing communication to the culinary team
Ensure quality and consistency of our food and exceptional service to all visitors
Create, develop & implement new innovative and cost-effective menu items
Manage inventory and ordering
Maximize productivity of culinary team
Manage food costs and minimize waste of products
Monitor and maintain kitchen cleanliness and equipment functioning, ensure the kitchen is kept clean, organized, prepped and well presented at all times
Perform open or close of kitchen and ensure proper closure procedures
Oversee prep is comprehensively complete
Assist in the recruitment of new culinary team members
Conduct day-to-day activities in the kitchen including preparing food orders for the restaurant
Assist in menu creations and banquet serving for special events and weddings as required
Assist in volume food preparation for special events
Maintain a high level of professionalism
Employment Details
These are full time positions or part time positions. The successful candidate must be flexible with hours and willing to work evenings, weekends and stat holidays throughout the season. There will be limited year-round positions opportunities available.
Qualifications
A passion for great food and all things craft
Previous experience managing a culinary team in a high volume, fast paced environment. Experience with projection and management of inventory, food cost, labour, variable costs and prep charts
Proven Leadership Skills - staff development and motivation, technical culinary skills training, policy and procedure management, time management, problem solving/decision making.
Excellent Interpersonal Skills - Self-motivated & driven, positive with a high energy and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Adaptable, flexible & dependable team player
Ability to spot problems and resolve them quickly while maintaining a level head
Knowledge of equipment and systems
