FACILITIES AND WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT
The Human Resources and Facilities Management Branch is looking for a Facilities and Warehouse Assistant, for an indeterminate position. The position is classified as a RÉ-03 ($50,375 to $63,754 per annum). 2021 rates, salary under review.

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Management Services, you will be responsible for assisting in facilities management and warehousing by providing a wide range of client services. You will assist with daily scheduling of work requests for the Facilities team, you will create work orders and maintain work order systems using software. You will also receive and inspect incoming parts, assets, materials, and equipment, and assist in maintaining records of assets using an asset inventory system.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Secondary School diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
- Providing advice and support to clients, which includes identifying and resolving issues.
- Management of assets, such as equipment and furniture.
- Building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Of warehousing and facilities maintenance.
- Of administrative and operational policies, systems and processes involved in warehousing and inventory management.
- To plan and manage workload, establish priorities, respond quickly to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- To compile and maintain information in an efficient manner.
- To use Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- To communicate effectively in both official languages.
- Demonstrating Integrity and Respect - Civility and Well-Being.
- Thinking Things Through - Innovating Through Analysis and Ideas.
- Working Effectively with Others - Relationships and Trust Building.

- Experience in AutoCAD.
- Experience using a system to track and manage assets (such as IAMIS, CRAMS, or other).
- Experience within the Government of Canada in the fields of facilities management and/or warehousing.
- May be on standby after working hours and may be called back to work.
- May need to work overtime.
- Possess or eligible to obtain Reliability security clearance.
- Possess a clean driving record with a full G license.
- Linguistic profile: Bilingual BBB.
- The position is in the National Capital Region, the person selected for the position must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace at 40 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
- The person selected for this position is expected to always work on site.
